1 Samuel 14:6-8

⁶ Jonathan said to his young armor-bearer, “Come on, let’s go over to the fort of these uncircumcised men. Maybe the Lord will act on our behalf. After all, nothing can stop the Lord from saving, whether there are many soldiers^[a] or few.”

⁷ “Go ahead with whatever you’re planning,” his armor-bearer replied. “I’m with you, whatever you decide.”

⁸ “All right then,” Jonathan said. “We’ll go over to the men and show ourselves.
